Massage Therapy For Stress

Chronic levels of stress and tension are often seen where symptoms of migraines, tension headaches, digestive upset, skin break outs, hypertension, insomnia and muscle pain present.  Feeling stressed out and drained of energy are some of of the most common problems facing our overworked society where we are subjected to constant inputs that place strain on our adrenal glands and can disrupt how we release stress hormones including cortisol.

  •     Do you feel exhausted by your lifestyle but unsure how to make changes?

Massage Therapy for Stress includes swedish and relaxation techniques to return your body to a state of rest and relaxation. Calming music, lighting, aromatherapy and breathing techniques are incorporated. Relaxation techniques for use at home are also demonstrated at the end of your treatment, to help you reach the same levels of relaxation on your own. Your RMT may also recommend some resources to help you manage on your own such a guided meditation or body scans. There are lots of free apps and downloadable guided materials available online.

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine for Stress aims to uncover the ways each individual deals with stress and the core beliefs associated with the stress response.  Acupuncture and/or acupressure treatment for stress 
aims to balance the body's flow of energy by stimulating specific acupuncture points. Herbal medicine  can dramatically help calm the nervous system, support adrenal glands and change the patterns that are at the root cause of anxiety, low mood and stress. Lifestyle recommendations may also be incorporated to help you make lasting positive changes.

Clinical Counselling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Art Therapy can be extremely effective for reducing stress. You may be surprised to discover that your physical pain and discomfort can be resolved by changing your beliefs, attitudes and improving your mental well being.
