Chronic Conditions Program
At Remedy Wellness Centre we are passionate about health, learning and our community. So we've come up with an idea that brings all of these things together. Our NEW Intern Services Program and Chronic Conditions Program! We often have new graduates of the allied healthcare professions join Remedy while they are between completing their educational training and writing their board exams to become certified in their profession. So we've come up with three tiers to this program, which we hope you will both enjoy and benefit from. Please tell your friends!

Acupuncture Athletic Therapy/Physical Therapy Clinical Counselling Massage 60 Mins: $30 |
Our Chronic Conditions Program is part of our intern services for patients with chronic health conditions, who need regular treatment, like acupuncture, massage, counselling and physical therapy, but have financial and other barriers that prevent them from receiving care. Treatment is offered by specific practitioners who are either new to their profession or are still building their practice, while mentoring under our more experienced practitioners. We believe in being an active part of our local community and see this program as a great way to provide a valuable and needed service.
A referral from a medical doctor or from an official "society" is required to be approved for this program. Chronic Conditions include, but are not limited to:
You must be pre approved for this program with adequate documentation or referrals from your primary medical care team. |
Intern Treatment Program
While these graduates are waiting to write their board exams, they are offering services like massage, for a discounted rate. These services are NOT covered by your extended health plan, as these INTERNS are NOT registered yet. You can still expect an excellent experience at a fraction of the regular cost. You will be helping this intern to continue to develop all of their skills including stream lining the patient interview process and their assessment skills, developing their hands on techniques and home care prescription. There are many layers to building a solid foundation for a successful practice and you can help these interns build theirs, while benefiting from their professional knowledge as a new graduate.

Mentor Program
We are very fortunate to have some veteran practitioners at Remedy with 10, 15 or 35 years of practice experience! They are a wealth of knowledge and experience that we believe should be shared with the upcoming generations of these professions. Our mentor program will give our interns a chance to sit in on some treatments to observe and learn from our best and brightest. If you are interested in participating, you simply sign a consent form, which we can send to you digitally. At each visit, you will have the option to opt in or out on that day, depending on what you're needs are. The patient always comes first, and we understand that sometimes you're up for it and sometimes you really want to have our full attention with no distractions. Our interns are also bound by PIPA (The Personal Information and Privacy Act) to the same standard as any of our healthcare providers.
