Personal Training
All classes are currently suspended in accordance with provincial health guidelines. Training is available via Telehealth.
We are also launching an online Pilates program shortly.

There is a gap in the world of fitness - what is available is either personal training OR large group fitness. Our small group kinesiology classes have aspects of both! This allows individuals who have health considerations or rehabilitation needs to have everything they are looking for -- all in one class! Join us for an individualized exercise approach, in a boutique environment that effective, fun and safe.
Classes are 60 minutes in duration. There will be a group warm up -- zumba/boxing/whole body range of motion style. After the warm up, each individual will work on their own personalized routine, designed by Megan Phillips, Kinesiologist and Clinical Exercise Physiologist. This will be provided for you at each session. There will then be a group cool-down/flexibility routine to follow. Small group Kinesiology classes allow a maximum of 3 participants in each class. This allows your trainer to pay attention to your form and give each person the individualized help they need to have a great workout and enjoy the many therapeutic benefits as well. Here's an idea...have a couple friends or colleagues join you for your workout. Its like having your cake, and eating it too! |
If you haven't trained with Megan before, you will have a FREE one-on-one Telehealth Appointment or Phone Call with her before you start attending classes. Based on this conversation, Megan will develop you're individualized program. If you have more complicated health considerations or injuries, you may need to have a longer private Kinesiology session as well, for which her regular fees would apply. Private kinesiology sessions are typically covered by extended health plans and ICBC.

Group Fitness Covid Policies
Ideally, the same 3 individuals will train together each week to minimize each person's exposure to other individuals and maintain social distancing policies. Each participant must complete a short and sweet Mandatory Covid Screening Survey before attending each class. You will automatically receive this via email, for each class. If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, you will not be allowed to attend class. You must call 8-1-1 immediately to get tested and will not be allowed to attend a class for 2 weeks. In this case, you're pre-paid classes will carry over.
You will have a workout station or area within the studio which will be set up with the appropriate equipment for your routine. You will not be sharing equipment with anybody during the class and all equipment is sterilized between each class. There is also a 20 min break between classes to allow the studio to completely ventilate before the next group enters. There are several air conditioning vents in our studio, so there is plenty of air flow.
Arrive on time, no more than 3-5 minutes before your class starts. If you're early, we allow up to 3 people in our clinic reception area provided you are wearing a mask. There is also a deck directly across the hall, which you are welcome to use. As long as you are going directly into the studio and not lingering in the reception area, you don't need a mask.
Arrive in your workout gear, bring your own water in a bottle and a towel if you need one. Grab a key and head to the washroom to wash your hands before entering the clinic. Reception will ask you to do a verbal screening again before you enter the studio. Bring minimal belongings with you and place them in the designated area. You will not be required to wear a mask, but are welcome to if it makes you feel more comfortable.
At the end of your workout place all your equipment back on your mat so it can be quickly and easily sterilized.
